Meet Redding Oral Surgeon,
Dr. Shaun Burlingame
Riverside Oral Surgery would like to introduce our new associate Shaun Burlingame, DDS, MD.
Dr. Burlingame grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, spending as much time outdoors as possible. While obtaining his BA in Biology with honors from the University of Utah, he met his wife Cassie, an Idaho native.
After graduation, his educational journey took them out east to New York City where he earned his DDS from NYU College of Dentistry ranking in the top 5% of his class and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. During dental school, he developed an interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery and decided to continue his training at NYU Langone Health, Bellevue Hospital Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Manhattan VA. He earned both his medical degree and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) certificate from NYU and then moved back out west to live the outdoor lifestyle he and his wife love.
Dr. Burlingame is a board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon who practices the full scope of the specialty including dental implant surgery (including full-mouth rehabilitation and X-Guide™ 3D navigated surgery), soft and hard tissue grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, pre-prosthetic surgeries, orthodontic exposures/procedures, non-invasive facial cosmetics (Botox®/fillers), maxillofacial trauma, TMJ disorders, pathology, and orthognathic surgery utilizing up-to-date virtual surgical planning and implementation.
Dr. Burlingame is comfortable administering conscious sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia to both adult and pediatric patients. He holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr. Burlingame is an active member of several local and national dental/medical/surgical associations and societies.
In his spare time, Dr. Burlingame and his wife both enjoy camping, hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, sports, boating, reading, and spending time with their two young children and their dog Ruth.
